Kibbin Design was engaged to turn this little weekender into a modern, warm, flowing build of 400 sqm in size.

The design brief for the facade was to use recycled bricks (laid with lots of texture), timber clad elements & garage door, topped off with the sophisticated cladding of James Hardies for upper floor & roofing surrounds.

A major element was low-pitched roofs hidden behind small parapets and huge eave overhangs to reduce summer heat.

Oser Interior Design was another major factor bringing joinery & colour pallet of the home to life.

Using the lay of the land and wanting the pool level to meet the living room has meant the home has been designed over 3 levels:

• As you enter the home there is a large foyer with a 6m high void letting northern warmth & light into the home in winter. this level also includes 2 bedrooms, next to main bath, laundry & 3 car garage

• The main level has extra guest bedroom, study / sitting area, rumpus room, WC & 10x7m dining/kitchen area. Stepping down 2 steps is the sunken formal lounge with 3m high glass doors and windows facing the wetlands. 13m of the main living area is linked with 3 full height doors to the deck, gardens & lap pool

• Upstairs has a sitting area area, master bedroom, walk-in wardrobe & a large ensuite.

Inside features range from polished concrete floors, to solid American oak floors & stairs, to giant tiles in bathroom, 4.5m high ceilings, set door jambs & custom joinery.

The hub of the home is no doubt the kitchen that has a 3×1.2m island bench.

The list is endless on this custom build that is a stand out in the street.

Our team of local experience trades together with Quine Building’s team brought this spectacular build to life.

With this project we have been named as a Finalist for the 2020 HIA CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards.
